What To Pack On A Sailing Charter Holiday

If you are heading off on a luxury yacht sailing trip, then it is time to start thinking about what to pack for your getaway. We are all aware of the basics: floaty dresses, flip flops, light shirts, sun hats and sun cream, but there are a few other things worth knowing about that you should pack.

Bareboat, Skippered or Crewed Yacht Charters. What Is The Difference?

As mentioned above, a bareboat yacht is one that you skipper yourself, although you will need sailing experience and a licence. A skippered yacht comes with a professional captain who will take care of all the sailing and the boat for you, but no cooking or hostess duties. For the ultimate luxury holiday, you can hire a crewed yacht, which usually comes with a small crew of skipper, chef and hostess/deckhand.

What Is A Crewed Cabin Yacht Charter?

You hire a double cabin with a private bathroom that sleeps one or two people, onboard a fully crewed yacht where the experienced skipper and chef will help to make your adventure a memorable one. The yacht, usually a catamaran, will sleep up to 12 guests and your itinerary will be planned for you by the crew who all have fantastic local knowledge.
